Apollo Pillows
Description: The Artemis program is a US government-funded human spaceflight program that has the goal of landing "the first woman and the next man" on the Moon, specifically at the lunar south pole region by 2024. The program is carried out predominantly by NASA, U.S. commercial spaceflight companies contracted by NASA, and international partners. NASA is leading the program, but expects international partnerships to play a key role in advancing Artemis as the next step towards the long-term goal of establishing a sustainable presence on the Moon, laying the foundation for private companies to build a lunar economy, and eventually sending humans to Mars.
Description: It's official, the United States is going back to the moon! The missions, named Artemis, are slated to put man (and woman!) on the moon in 2024. Artemis is the twin sister of Apollo and is the Greek goddess of the moon- a fitting name! This is the non-distressed version, we also have a distressed, vintage style design.
Description: Apollo 13 Nasa's third attempt to land a man on the moon had to be aborted when the oxygen tanks in the service module exploded leaving the craft stranded in space. The incident was reported to Mission Control with the understated phrase: "Houston, We Have A Problem". The astronauts relocated into the Lunar Module, looped around the moon and then used the thrusters from the lunar module (intended only to descend to the moons surface), to bring them back home. All three astronauts survived. (see more designs like this in The Blue Box)
Description: 2019 marks 50 years since Apollo 11 landed on the moon on 21 July 1969. Apollo 11 was the spaceflight that landed the first two people on the Moon. Commander Neil Armstrong and pilot Buzz Aldrin, landed the Apollo Lunar Module Eagle on July 20. Armstrong became the first person to step onto the moon 6 hours later on July 21. They spent 21 hours on the lunar surface before returning to Columbia for the return to Earth.
