Description: Apollo–Soyuz was the first crewed international space mission, carried out jointly by the United States and the Soviet Union in July 1975. Millions of people around the world watched on television as a United States Apollo spacecraft docked with a Soviet Soyuz capsule. The project, and its handshake in space, was a symbol of détente between the two superpowers during the Cold War. The mission was officially known as the Apollo–Soyuz Test Project (ASTP). The three American astronauts and two Soviet cosmonauts performed both joint and separate experiments. The pre-flight work provided useful engineering experience for later joint American–Russian space flights, such as the Shuttle–Mir program and the International Space Station.

Description: Apollo 11 was the spaceflight that first landed humans on the Moon. Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were the crew that landed the Apollo Lunar Module Eagle on July 20, 1969, at 20:17 UTC. Armstrong became the first person to step onto the lunar surface six hours 39 minutes later on July 21 at 02:56 UTC; Aldrin joined him 19 minutes later. They spent about two and a quarter hours together outside the spacecraft, and collected 47.5 pounds of lunar material to bring back to Earth. Command module pilot Michael Collins flew the command module Columbia alone in lunar orbit while they were on the surface. Armstrong and Aldrin spent 21 hours 31 minutes on the lunar surface at a site they named Tranquility Base before lifting off to rejoin Columbia.
Description: Apollo 11 history is in the news again and this design pays homage to the NASA moon missions. Based on the NASA meatball logo, it features the honored nickname "Steely Eyed Missile Man". This nickname was reserved for the best astronauts, flight controllers and flight directors. Most famously bestowed on John Aaron, who saved the Apollo 12 mission and played a large part in the Apollo 13 mission. This shirt is in honor of the Apollo lunar missions and makes a great gift for your husband, boyfriend, son, or nephew who loves spaceflight history.
