Falling Pillows
Description: Y2K (also known as Kaybug or Cybercore) is an aesthetic that was prevalent in popular culture from roughly 1997 to 2004, succeeding the Memphis Design and Grunge eras and overlapping with the McBling, UrBling, Surf Crush, and 2K1 aesthetics. Named after the Year 2000 problem, it is characterized by a distinct aesthetic period, encapsulating fashion, hardware design, music, and furnishings shining with tech optimism—sometimes literally. Some of its aspects include tight leather pants, shiny clothing, silver eye shadow, spiky up-dos, Oakleys, gradients, translucence, and Blobitecture. Most Y2K aesthetics rely on the use of technology and slick futuristic looks.
Description: Theres' a lot of memorable quotes from Dumb and Dumber, "our pets' heads are falling off!" is one of my favorites. Especially when paired with the scene of the boy petting the duct taped parakeet. Great shirt for a lover of classic 90's movies and one of Jim Carrey's best roles.
Description: Whammyburger, sometimes spelled Whammy Burger, is a fictional fast food restaurant from the 1993 film Falling Down. The burger joint features a flamboyant, almost circus-like theme in its red and yellow interior and exterior. The restaurant's interior decor is decidedly '80s in appearance and has multiple placements of their anthropomorphic hamburger boxer mascot. The exterior of the restaurant has statues of their mascot, a large burger sculpture on its roof, and street art of a burger in the parking lot. Whammyburger's menu selections follow a standard naming scheme where every food item's name includes "Wham" or "Whammy," like their signature Whammyburger, Whammy Fries, and Choco-Wham Shake.
