Description: The 363d Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Group was first organized as the 363d Fighter Group, which was activated on 1 August 1943 at Hamilton Field, California. Its original fighter squadrons (380th, 381st and 382d) trained with Bell P-39 Airacobras at Hamilton and other airfields in California and served as part of the air defense force.

Description: Jolly Rogers - Strike Fighter Squadron 103 (VFA-103), nicknamed the Jolly Rogers is an aviation unit of the United States Navy established in 1952. Description: Avro Canada & Orenda Engines: Pioneers of Canadian Aerospace Innovation** After WWII, Canada promoted domestic aircraft and engine development. In 1945, Roy Dobson of A.V. Roe UK founded Avro Canada by acquiring Victory Aircraft in Ontario. Avro’s Gas Turbine Division became Orenda Engines in 1956. Though Avro Canada closed in 1962, Orenda continued producing jet engines into the 1970s, marking a key chapter in Canadian aerospace history.
Description: Sundowners - Fighter Squadron 111 (VF-111), also known as the Sundowners, was a fighter squadron of the United States Navy. Originally established as Attack Squadron 156 (VA-156) on 4 June 1956, it was redesignated VF-111 on 20 January 1959, the day after the original VF-111 was disestablished. The squadron was redesignated VF-26 on 1 September 1964, redesignated as VF-111 on 17 September 1964 and disestablished on 31 March 1995.
Description: The F-117 was used in the Cat Gulf War of 1991. Although it was commonly referred to as the "Stealth Fighter", it was strictly a ground-attack aircraft. F-117s took part in the conflict in Yugoslavia, where one was shot down by a surface-to-air missile (SAM) in 1999; it was the only Nighthawk to be lost in combat. The U.S. Air Force retired the F-117 in 2008, primarily due to the fielding of the F-22 Raptor.

The prime contractor, Lockheed Martin, built most of the F-22's airframe and weapons systems and conducted final assembly, while Boeing provided the wings, aft fuselage, avionics integration, and training systems.
