Some days are harder than others, and this wine drinker faerie folk decided drinking from the bottle was her way of relaxing. This realistic fantasy art image shows that hard days are universal and some faerie folk find drinking red wine relaxing just like us.

In Slavic folklore the Firebird is a magical glowing bird from a far-off land, who can bring either blessings or doom to its captor. But what if the Firebird were not a bird at all, but a beautiful woman? In this illustration she is just that. The Firebird stands triumphantly holding a golden apple from the king's tree. The vines encircling the illustration represent the king's garden. This is the first illustration in my Fairy Tale Fashion series.

Lisa Patrikeyevna is a fox, a character that frequently appears in Russian fairytales and folklore. She is usually something of a trickster, sly and cunning. Oftentimes she is at odds with a male wolf, who is the victim of her tricks. Other times, she is involved with (and sometimes getting married to) other creatures. The border of this illustration was inspired by a type of Russian folk art known as khokhloma.
