Frog Pillows
Description: On a simple walk in the middle of nature we meet several frogs of beautiful colors. Many were green and of different sizes, their songs flooding the forest. The frog population in Ecuador is the third most diverse in the world, with approximately 579 species, of which 241 are native to the country. And every day more are being discovered that were even thought to be extinct. Currently, several institutions have been created for its preservation and care.
Description: Black and white pen and ink animal illustration of a red-headed poison dart frog. The red-headed poison dart frog (Ranitomeya fantastica) is a vulnerable species of dart frog in the Dendrobatidae family. These frogs are found in tropical rainforests in Peru and have blue patterned bodies with a vibrant orange red head. I created this drawing by hand using ink in a stippling, or dot work technique.
