Garden Pattern Pillows
Description: Flowers are amazing creatures. If you contemplate and observe every moment of their life, they are blossoming veins of nature. They are pumping energy, strength, and the very essence of the source of life from the depth of the earth. Blossoming and then fading, they scatter this energy with each of their particles all over the world, enriching it. They go through their short life and again become part of this earth, returning and transmitting the energy further and continuing the never-ending cycle of life. To visualize this idea, we used neon shades of green on dark mossy green background.
Description: I spent 6 weeks in various allotments in England studying the fascinating structures that gardeners create out of everyday objects. The most drawn allotment was in Bucklands Hill in Maidstone, Kent. This is the third of a series of three, a possible triptych, but i feel work well as individual prints as well. It shows the Contain aspect of the title, it shows the many different things that i observed at the allotment that the gardeners had been using to substitute the seemingly expensive pots for seedlings. They explained to me that you can use anything that is water and light tight but pierce-able so as to give drainage.
