Description: Most people are afraid of death - this is normal. Since ancient times, folks have used amulets with the death-attributes to cheat death. Often, bird skulls were used for this purpose - Death will come nearer, but when he sees the skull, will think that he has been here before, job is done, will turn around and leave. Death drives death out! Rune Algiz, similar to a bird's paw, was used as a protection too.
