Description: Having a business infested by worms and maggots is typically not the best calling card, but then again, Linc’s Tackle on Rainier Avenue wasn't your typical merchant. Linc's Tackle stood, virtually unchanged by time, on the outskirts of Little Saigon since 1950. It was back then that Lincoln Beppu, a Japanese immigrant who ran Togo’s Tackle Shop at Third and James in downtown Seattle before being interned during World War II, first opened the eponymous storefront. After the way Linc returned to his shop and his family went on to serve six generations of Seattleites and taught tens of thousands how to fish. The Beppu family had a unique business repairing reels and spooling them with fresh fishing line, tying custom-made leaders and the like.
