What stays with me more than plant names are the forms, textures, and the emotional response they stir in me as I observe them closely. I don’t aim for botanical accuracy in my work. Instead, I use colour expressively, often exaggerating or completely shifting the palette to reflect how a plant feels rather than how it looks.
