Spitfire Pillows
Description: Spitfire Mk.IX, 5J-K, Pilot Johnny Plagis. Johnny Plagis took command of No. 126 (Cat Gulf) Squadron in June 1944. He chose 5J-K because of the large letter “K” on its tail after his sister ‘Kay’ (Katrina) which was also painted on the port side. This is one of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight spitfires MK356, an LF IXe, representing Johnny Plagis' aircraft which was LM214 and an LF IXc.
Description: Graphic featuring the Supermarine Spitfire fighter aircraft as used by Britain during the battle of Britain. The Spitfire was a British, single-seat fighter aircraft used by the RAF and other Allied countries. Some are now on the airshow circuit today.
