Tree Ghost Pillows

Description: In our interpretation of Rider-Waite’s The Tower, you’ll see a massively towering and twisted tree as the focus of this card. As lightning strikes the tree, we see two specters fleeing away from the chaos toward the ground with their arms outstretched. This scene inspires a sense of unsettling and chaos from the viewer. We chose a tree to represent the tower as it is a solid and reliable natural structure, however its roots are twisted through the shaky foundation of skulls that you see at the bottom of the card. Though this tree seems impervious to destruction, a simple bolt of lightning has the power to bring down its twisted bows and send its inhabitants fleeing for safety.
