Description: The Triquetra, or Celtic Trinity Knot, is a three cornered Celtic knot design with various meanings. Christians will see it as representing the Trinity of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost or Spirit. The more ancient pagans would see it for the Mother, Crone, and Maiden. And the more metaphysical school of thought sees the Trinity Knot as representing the Mind, Body, and Spirit.
Description: Holy Trinity painting by Andrej Rublev. The Holy Trinity icon is created by a Russian painter Andrei Rublev in the 15th century. It is his most famous work and the most famous of all Russian icons. The Trinity depicts the three angels who visited Abraham at the Oak of Mamre, but the painting is full of symbolism and is interpreted as an icon of the Holy Trinity. At the times of Andrei Rublev the Holy Trinity was the embodiment of spiritual unity, peace, harmony, mutual love and humility. The icon was commissioned to honour the saint Sergius of Radonezh of the Trinity Lavra of St. Sergius near Moscow (now in the town of Sergiyev Posad). The Trinity is currently held in the Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow.
