Description: Yes, the address from which we joined the TARDIS and her crew on their adventures! This is a clean, non grubby version of the writing. Every version of this I have seen makes do with fonts, including a cursive script for the Scrap Merchant section. I chose to painstakingly copy the original hand-painted lettering from screen caps and photos of the original sign in both the pilot and first episodes of Doctor Who to create an accurate vector graphic version. What this means is, I’ve carefully replicated some of the badly painted letters of the original, but that I’ve also captured their uniqueness! There will be two other versions soonish. A grubbier version, and one replicating the look of the original wooden gates.

It was formed as Transcontinental & Western Air to operate a route from New York City to Los Angeles via St. Louis, Kansas City, and other stops, with Ford Trimotors. With American, United, and Eastern, it was one of the "Big Four" domestic airlines in the United States formed by the Spoils Conference of 1930. Howard Hughes acquired control of TWA in 1939, and after World War II led the expansion of the airline to serve Europe, the Middle East, and Asia, making TWA a second unofficial flag carrier of the United States after Pan Am.
