Description: Wayne and Ron’s Record Shop opened July 15, 1971 at 3009 East Lake Street, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Wayne, aka 'Honey Bear,' lived in an apartment at the back of the store and slept on a custom-made round 'record' water bed, or at least that is what overnight guests choosing not to be named have said. Weird waterbeds aside, Wayne and Ron’s was known for having a killer selection of records and ran huge discounts on every band that came to town, making them a popular spot for decades to come.
