The Institute du Monde Arabe (the Arab World Institute) is an organization that was founded in Paris in 1980 by 18 Arab countries with France. The purpose was to research and disseminate information about the Arab world and its cultural and spiritual values. Today the Institute promotes cooperation and exchanges between France and the Arab nations, particularly in the areas of science and technology, contributing to the understanding between the Arab world and the rest of Europe. What is really interesting about this building is its the southwest façade (what you see in this image). Arabic Art in Spain

This image is of a section of the wall around the Muslim fort in Mérida, Spain. The fort was completed in 835 BCE. Today, the fort is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Portrayed in the image is a small park that resides just outside the wall. The old adage that blue and green should never be seen is clearly nonsense when you view this image.
