Description: Pontiac was an American automobile brand introduced as a companion make for GM's more expensive line of Oakland automobiles in 1925, but Pontiac overtook Oakland in popularity and supplanted its parent brand entirely by 1933. From Chieftons to Bonnevilles and Tempests to Trans Ams, Pontiac's models were always an exciting mix of performance and style which gave them an unmistakable brand identity that was often envied by her sister divisions. This design leverages logomark elements from several key eras in the division's history, making it somewhat of a Pontiac resto-mod hybrid.

Description: Poster, circa 1925, promoting Aliyah (immigration) to the Land of Israel. Published in the United States by ZOA. Designed by Meir Gur-Arieh. Public domain, via PPPA. Meir Gur-Arieh (1891–1951) was born in Bobruisk, Russia. He studied art in Russia and then at Bezalel in Jerusalem. He uses the imagery of “Wellsprings,” an art style that symbolizes the spiritual and physical renewal of the Jewish people and the Land of Israel. "Wellsprings" is a metaphor for a bountiful and inexhaustible source of something. A man faces the sea, reaching for a homeland. Using a variety of graphic design tools, I created a restored and enlarged reproduction of this historical Israeli poster, based on a rare photo of the original poster in an archive.

Description: Meritt Records was an American jazz and blues record company and label that existed from 1925 to 1929. It was founded in Kansas City by Winston Holmes, the owner of a music store. Records were made in his studio and sold only in his store. Holmes produced about 20 double-sided acoustically recorded phonograph records in the mid and late 1920s. Most of the sides are of locally based jazz and blues performers, plus some gospel music and sermons.
