Description: A digital collage I made using free-form cropped images of a Polaroid picture and the word "Party!" (taken from a screenshot of a 1992 Polaroid film commercial) and an image of "Beach Ball" from season six of the American version of The Masked Singer (which was revealed to be reality-television stars Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson and "Mama" June Shannon). I accompanied it with digital text corresponding to the 250th anniversary of America's independence in 2026, as well as the name of the only song Thompson and Shannon sang while in the "Beach Ball" getup, which was "Party in the USA" by Miley Cyrus.
Description: Sea Cross Surfboards was a full service shop and board maker located right in the heart of Burbank, California back in the '50s and '60s. While everyone else was doing the toon style Hawaiian thing, they went a little more hardcore with a black iron cross adorned with a face that clearly leans on traditional coastal Native American culture for inspiration.
