Description: blue death feigning beetles are a kind of darkling beetle from the deserts of the southwestern united states. they have a waxy coating that gives them their blue color. when they get scared, they fall over and play dead. they're also known as ironclad beetles, because their exoskeleton is super strong. they love dry conditions, eating fruit, and hiding under pieces of wood or rocks. i think they're really cute!
