Description: Marshall Bravestarr is the lawman of the wild-west planet "New Texas" with help from Thirty-Thirty, his cybernetic talking horse and Deputy Fuzz, his sidekick and Shaman, his mentor. Bravestarr with his special powers fights the outlaw Tex-Hex, the leader of the Carrion Bunch, who are after the mineral Kerium, Bravestarr sets out to set things right and enforce peace and justice on "New Texas.

BraveStarr was the last animated series produced before Filmation shut down in 1989. The series was set in the 23rd century on a desert planet called New Texas and episodes combined elements of science fiction and western genres. As on other Filmation series, a moral lesson is told at the end of each episode. One notable episode is "The Price," in which a boy buys a drug called "Spin," becomes addicted to it, and dies of an overdose... guess he learned a valuable lesson that day 🤷♂️

BraveStarr: The Legend is a feature film released just after the BraveStarr space western animated series TV series was concluding in 1988. The film serves as an origin story for Marshal BraveStarr and the realization of his powers, as well as Tex Hex and his gang. Like most of Filmation's works, some of the animation is recycled from the series, but the movie has great action, utilizes the series voice actors, and all told, just really works well with the series.
