Description: Brigid (sometimes St. Brigid - Christian version) is the Celtic goddess of healing, creativity, fire and water. She rules the alchemical process of uniting opposites and resolving contradictions in order to create harmony. That’s why I thought this quote by the first female prime minister of Israel, Golda Meir, was perfect for this picture. Meir said she was not a feminist but her actions belied that statement. And while other statements may have shown indifference to the plight of the Palestinians, there was no doubt that she loved her own country deeply. None of us are perfect but we all have a little bit of each goddess within us, and this quote by Meir shows a complete alignment with Brigid's flame.
