Description: James Cook was a British explorer, navigator, cartographer, and captain in the British Royal Navy. In 1770, he charted New Zealand and the Great Barrier Reef of Australia on his ship HMS Endeavour (HM Bark Endeavour). He later disproved the existence of Terra Australis, a fabled southern continent.
Description: A few weeks ago I was watching a series called "For All Mankind" with some friends. It was an alternative history of the space race -- highly recommended if you haven't watched it yet -- and reminded me a lot of a book I read last year called "The Calculating Stars" -- again, highly recommended. Anyway, one thing led to another, and I started doodling what would SpaceX's logo would look like if it had evolved from NASA's original logos from back in the 60s and 70s, and then I made this version, which is based on the NASA logo from the 1980s and the space shuttle program. Hope you like it!
