Hair from the dog was placed in the wound to help seal the would and allegedly fight off the rabies. Hair of the Dog is also the breakthrough studio album by Scottish hard rock band, Nazareth. Released on April 3, 1975. The album was recorded at Escape Studios, in Kent, with additional recording and mixing at AIR Studios, London. Hair of the Dog was the group’s sixth album, best known, and highest selling release, with over two million copies sold worldwide.
