Java Programming Language Bags
Description: A network graph showing 64 programming languages connected by 122 influence relations. It includes languages the were influenced by C or influenced C and C itself. More influential languages are shown as larger circles as compared to languages with less influence on others. The influence relation data was retrieved from Wikidata in 2019. A great gift for programmers who are into digital art.
Description: I got interested in the lineage of programming languages once and made a greatly abbreviated family tree. Most of our modern languages ultimately descend from Fortran or FLOW-MATIC (and their typically machine-specific languages). I've obviously left out many of the dialects (like CoffeeScript) and standards-update versions (like C++17).
Description: Text editors or coding software are used by all programmers and developers. Choose this weapon wisely. While emacs is considers the most powerful and highly customisable, VIM can get things done easily, NotePad sucks. Although we all started with it while writing our first Hello World program.
