Joi Bags
Description: Joi Lansing sings Web of Love as a guy in a snake costume slither arounds, a witch doctor jumps about (same guy) and several women who clearly are not from equatorial climes do some back up dancing. Very sultry. A retro design; so far as I know there was never a table tent for scopitone S-1057. Scopitones are music films made for a video jukebox in the 1960s. There were over 70 American ones produced and hundreds of European ones, featuring well-known artists of the time.
Description: In the 1995 comedy classic Friday, Craig Jones (Ice Cube) navigates a wild 24 hours on his South Central porch alongside his girlfriend, Joi (Paula Jai Parker). Joi is intensely jealous, demanding, and fiercely protective of her relationship, constantly checking up on Craig through relentless phone calls and dramatic accusations. Her high-maintenance, fiery personality creates endless friction, contrasting sharply with Craig’s laid-back demeanor. While Craig tries to stay out of trouble and figure out his chaotic day, Joi’s explosive outbursts and relentless suspicion make her one of the most memorable sources of hilarious tension in his neighborhood misadventures.
Description: Joi Lansing does the song The Silencers, from the movie of the same name with Dean Martin. The scopitone starts out with her singing about .22s and .38s and then she pulls a gun out on the audience. A moment later she puts it in her pocket, takes off her trenchcoat and shows off her REAL secret weapon. Some obligatory bikini dancing in this one. From an original "table tent" design. Scopitone S-1053. Scopitones are music films made for a video jukebox in the 1960s. There were over 70 American ones produced and hundreds of European ones, featuring well-known artists of the time.
