Description: Day of the Dead is a 1985 American post-apocalyptic zombie horror film written and directed by George A. Romero, and produced by Richard P. Rubinstein. The third film in Romero's Night of the Living Dead series, it stars Lori Cardille, Terry Alexander, Joseph Pilato, Jarlath Conroy and Richard Liberty as members of a group of survivors of a zombie apocalypse sheltering in an underground bunker in Florida, where they must determine the outcome of humanity's conflict with the undead horde. Description: "They're coming to get you Barbara ..." in the beginning of the film Night of the Living Dead, this phrase is said mockingly, and yet, it still comes off creepy as hell. It wasn't technically the first film to feature zombies, but it was the first centered around a world where the dead rise to literally eat the living. With one small, low-budget black and white movie, George Romero created an entire genre that would be adored by zillions forever. Why are so many people fascinated by zombies? There are many reasons, but the thought of people who were once good, sentient humans with thoughts and dreams and families, turned into mindless beasts whose one primal goal is to eat living people is pretty scary. Not to mention cool as hell.
