Description: The Kōlea or Pacific Golden Plover is a shorebird which spends the winters in the Islands of Hawai’i and breeds in Siberia and the western parts of Alaska. The adults are arriving here in August while the young ones are showing up in October. They’re staying here for more than half a year and are leaving in late April again.
