Description: Based in Mount Airy, North Carolina, Jeffery Blackmon Trucking was a refrigerated carrier that primarily ran apples out of Washington State with their fleet of cab overs. Description: Mount Airy may be a spec of a town off of U.S. Route 52 in Surry County, North Carolina, but it was also home to one of the country's preeminent hot rod builders. Founded in 1980 by Donald 'Little Don' Perkins, his no billet policy ensured that he only produced traditional rods and customs, so no high tech styled, pastel heartbeat graphic, tweed interior, fenderless IFS rods here. Little Don may have only stood 5' 3" tall, but his builds were giants that are still prized possessions of those who own them well after he closed up shop and retired in 2015.
