Palomino Bags
Description: Palomino was a product of Restaurants Unlimited, the Seattle operator that brought us Kincaid’s. RUI, as it is known, has gone through creative peaks and valleys (more valleys) in the last two decades, but in the day was pumping out good restaurants. This was before the locavore era, before the anti-corporate backlash, when the Hennepin Theater District was nascent and Palomino was its watering hole.
Description: A circular emblem with a black background features a golden horse silhouette at its center, surrounded by golden stars. Above the horse, the word "PALOMINO" is inscribed in golden capital letters. The emblem has a golden border and is set against a background of radiating red and gold stripes, creating a sunburst effect.

The fight, promoted by Bob Arum's Top Rank, saw Palomino attempting his eighth title defense against a younger, undefeated challenger. At 29, Palomino was considered a dangerous veteran, while the 20-year-old Benitez, already a former WBA Junior Welterweight champion, brought a reputation for being a defensive master.

Wilfred Benitez, still just 20 years of age but already a former champion, “El Radar” having been stripped of the 140-pound title he had won at age 17 due to inactivity, met defending welterweight champ Carlos Palomino. Mexico’s Palomino, who was making his 8th defense of the WBC crown, was nine years the older man at 29. Palomino was 27-1-3 upon entering the ring, while Benitez was unbeaten at 36-0-1.

Description: The old building on Chinden Boulevard was relocated to Garden City, Idaho, from New Plymouth in 1949, and The Ranch Club opened its doors the following year. It was the only bar in town with slot machines, that is, until gambling was banned in Idaho in 1953. A few years after that, the owner commissioned a giant palomino with a cowboy and lasso to stand atop the bar's sign. At some point, the cowboy was ripped off in a storm, and eventually, the horse was replaced as people kept trying to climb up and sit on the saddle. The new palomino has stood strong ever since and has remained a landmark of the rowdy cowboy bar, even during the years spent as a gay bar.

Perfect for horse lovers, equestrians, ranch and western-lifestyle fans, and anyone who's ever felt that pull toward wide open desert country. A striking pick for horse girl gifts, southwestern decor lovers, or anyone who wants bold, dramatic animal art on their shirt. Available on multiple products and colors.
