Platon Bags
Description: The price of apathy towards public affairs is to be ruled by evil men. This commanding and deeply evocative mixed-media collage pays tribute to Plato — student of Socrates, teacher of Aristotle, and the philosopher whose ideas about justice, beauty, equality, and the ideal state have shaped Western civilization for over two thousand years. His weathered marble bust — broken at the base like an artifact freshly unearthed from the Athenian agora — rises through layered geometric color blocks in deep crimson, electric teal, and burnt amber, while fragments of aged philosophical text wrap around his beard and shoulders like the dialogues themselves made physical. The entire composition sits against a warm stone-grey ground that evokes the walls
