Radiant Radish Bags
Description: The Radiant Radish was a health food store located at the corner of Melrose Avenue and San Vicente Boulevard in West Hollywood, California, from 1969 to 1970, offering up a wide range of vitamins and supplements along with healthy food staples and fresh produce. It was managed by Brian Wilson, his cousin Steve Korthoff, and friend Arny Geller. Arny's father-in-law, Jack Brooks, owner of Brooks Health Foods who was the shop's nutritional consultant. Despite being a multimillionaire rock star with a penchant for seclusion, Brian actually worked in the store, sometimes while wearing a bathrobe, and would later say that his favorite part about owning the shop was running the cash register. The Radiant Radish closed on July 29, 1970.
Description: This design is a tribute to Radiant Radish, the short-lived health food store once owned by Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys. While there are a few other reproductions floating around, I didn't think any of them were quite right—so I made my own, building it from scratch based on period photos of the storefront.
Description: This vintage-inspired design features a bold, stylized radish paired with leafy greens and retro typography. Embracing a wholesome aesthetic, the illustration promotes health-conscious living with a touch of organic charm. The slogan "Rooted in Goodness, Grown with Love" adds a warm, natural feel that’s perfect for eco-friendly or plant-based lifestyle lovers.
