Description: According to the IWW: The Black Cat -- traditionally drawn as angry with claws bared, arched back, and a brushy tail (pictured, right) -- has long been one of the symbols of the IWW. It was probably conceived by IWW member Ralph Chaplin (most famous for penning the IWW / labor anthem "Solidarity Forever"), who produced many of the IWW's early "slient agitator" graphics which -- themselves -- had a close association with hobo signs. We like to combine anarchist symbols and quotes with the visual art of anarchists like William Morris. Our goal is to create beautiful and accessible ways to approach the philosophy of Mutual Aid.

Description: I drew this piece to capture the untamed, rebellious spirit of the classic black cat symbol. Combining the iconic stance of the wild sabotage cat with a lighthearted spin on the message that all cats are beautiful felt like a natural way to honor both history and feline nature. For the anarchists, the punks, and anyone who reads between the lines.
Description: I made this one for cat lovers who also believe crowns belong on the ground. A fearless anarchist black cat leaps into the air, sending a crown flying, because where freedom rings, there are no kings. I hope this brings a sense of empowerment and defiance to everyone who stands for their rights. No thrones, no crowns, just liberty.
