Description: The Norse goddess Sif is the wife of Thor and is thought to be a fertility goddess. Some scholars believe her golden locks symbolize harvest. She's most known for the myth where Loki cuts off her blonde hair; Thor only spares the trickster's life when he promises to find her an even fairer head of hair. Unfortunately, not many references remain of this Aesir goddess.
