Surgical Forceps Bags

Description: A detailed scientific illustration of a framed plate of six surgical instruments, scalpel, forceps, hook, scissors, cautery and probe, inspired by the illustrated pages of Al-Tasrif, set against a deep dark background. Al-Zahrawi (Abulcasis, 936–1013), a physician of Córdoba, wrote Al-Tasrif, whose surgical volume describes and illustrates more than two hundred instruments. Translated into Latin, it was taught in Europe for centuries. A gift idea for physicians, nurses and medical students, and a thoughtful piece for a practice, office or study.
