Description: The name “Zentangle” was formulated by Rick Roberts, a former monk and Maria Thomas, a very well qualified calligrapher, an illuminast, artist and designer. Zentangle art is easy to learn, relaxing and a fun way to create beautiful images by drawing lots of different structured patterns. The patterns are called tangles and consist out of combinations of dots, lines, simple curves, s-curves and orbs. These simple shapes are the "elemental strokes" and the patterns are drawn on small pieces of paper called "tiles." The tiles can be assemble into mosaics which makes this art even more stunning to look at. This particular design were modified into colour with software, to create colour zentangle artwork.
