Tolkien Art Bags
Description: Watercolor painting of 'Sleeping Smaug', fanart based on the book by J.R.R. Tolkien. It was made as a custom order for a great Tolkien fan from UK. I like how the golden glow and foreground details turned out. The way Smaug grabs his treasure with his wings was intended - I wanted him to look all greedy and malvolent even though his fast asleep. Original painting was painted on Fabriano Watercolor Paper (A2 size) using White Nights Watercolors. It took me about 40 hours to finish this artwork. I am going to make more Tolkien inspired illustrations in the future :) I will be happy to hear your suggestions!
Description: A striking fantasy art print featuring Smaug, the legendary dragon from J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit, resting amongst his enormous hoard of gold and treasure beneath the Lonely Mountain. Packed with wonderful details, from glittering jewels and goblets to bones, bats and hidden stairways, this illustration captures the magical atmosphere of one of the most memorable scenes in classic fantasy literature.
Description: Before there was a franchise, a trilogy, a cinematic universe, and seventeen hours of extended edition, there was a philologist at Oxford who decided to build an entire world — languages, cosmologies, mythologies, genealogies — because he wanted a home for his stories. John Ronald Reuel Tolkien (1892–1973) didn't write fantasy. He excavated a mythology from somewhere deep in the European subconscious and set it down on paper with academic rigor and genuine soul. This stark, monochromatic portrait captures the gravity of a man who created an entire universe for the love of language. For Tolkien readers, fantasy lovers, literary art collectors, and defenders of the printed word against the unread. Keywords: Tolkien t-shirt, Lord of the Rings

"Even the smallest person can change the course of the future." Wear the inscription, and remember: not all those who wander are lost.
Description: This design is a majestic, classical oil painting-style poster celebrating the character Éowyn, depicting her standing on a stone platform, her dress and hair flowing in the wind, with the banner of Rohan behind her and mountains in the distance, under the title "ÉOWYN: THE LIGHT THAT DEFIED THE SHADOW."
Description: This design features a striking profile portrait of Gandalf the Wizard, with his hat depicting a mountain and the company of characters from The Hobbit or The Lord of the Rings walking across the brim. His beard and robe contain a stylized, glowing scene of a lone figure in a cave or tunnel (likely Bilbo Baggins or Frodo Baggins), and the image is captioned with the heroic phrase: "ELVES GRACE, DWARVES STRENGTH, HUMAN COURAGE."
