Description: A bold linocut-style reinterpretation of Zhao Gongming (趙公明), the tiger-riding God of Wealth in Chinese popular religion. Inspired by traditional Chinese New Year woodblock prints (nianhua), the illustration depicts the formidable deity mounted upon his tiger, carrying a ceremonial gold ingot symbolising prosperity and brandishing his characteristic iron cudgel. His elaborate military armour, dramatic facial colouring and commanding expression reflect the visual vocabulary of Chinese popular religious imagery and traditional opera. Vibrant vermilion, jade green, golden yellow and deep purple combine with structural black to reinterpret this auspicious figure through contemporary relief-print aesthetics.
