Cosmic Object

Sometimes I get it; most times I don't. This is one of those times where I just don't get it! Image taken at one of the terminals at a large modern airport somewhere on this planet. All images are taken with a Canon 5D III (full frame) and a Canon 7D II (crop frame) using a variety of Canon L-Series lenses, and Tamron and Sigma pro-line lenses; processed in RAW with ACR, PSC, Photomatix, and a variety of other imaging software. The background was taken from a textured acrylic work, the cactus was a hand drawn cartoon and the flowers are photographs I took at Mount Gambier. I have compiled them all together digitally and added text.

I made this as part of a series on womanhood, and this is the flip side: Men and violent entitlement. This in me getting out complicated feelings around the decaying of women's humans rights that we're seeing in real time, in the US & globally and the rot of patriarchy unquestioned that drives it. Rather than demoralize, I let this radicalize me.
