It was a damp, overcast day as we walked along the Stradun, the main street in Dubrovnik's old city. We had been told by a guide a few days earlier that the old shop fronts incorporated an entrance way and a serving hatch, so the shops were quite small with many of these lined up along the building. Of course time has moved on so several of these old shops could now be one business. In this instance, "Leandro" is a fairly high-end business that mainly caters to tourists with a taste for a new watch. The entrance was a door or two along. We were about to embark on a cruise, leaving from Split in Croatia, but we had a night to spend in the city before we boarded. This image is of the delightful square at the western end of the Riva boardwalk. It was early May, so the tourists hadn't yet arrived in throngs, but the restaurants were busy. The evening was warm, the atmosphere inviting.

What an amazing town. I walked the walls of Dubrovnik and stood on the shores of the Adriatic, but I still think this view, seen from Fort Lovrijenac, was my favourite one of Dubrovnik.
