Description: Windsor Forestry Tools was founded in Milan, Tennessee in 1948, specializing in the manufacturing of products for chainsaws. Often referring to their product line as 'The Windsor Cutting Train' in marketing materials and catalogs, Windsor's primary product line consisted of chainsaw bars, chains, and sprockets for all major manufacturer's chainsaws. The company continued to produce their line for decades until being acquired by a Swedish firm in the mid-'80s, something that would be repeated several times before the company's demise some time around 2010.

Description: Founded in 1863, Pacific Lumber Company, known as PALCO, was one of California's major logging and sawmill operations, located 28 miles south of Eureka and 244 miles north of San Francisco. Primary operations existed in massive log storage and milling operations in the historic company town of Scotia, California, located adjacent to US 101 along the Eel River, with secondary mills located in Fortuna and Carlotta. PALCO had extensive timber holdings exceeding well over 200,000 acres in the Redwood and Douglas-Fir forests of Humboldt County. Known as the Redwood Empire, for generations, PALCO was one of the largest private employers in the region, and operated the world's largest Redwood Mill ever constructed.
Description: Founded in 1941 in the burgeoning town of Chilliwack in British Columbia, Beaverteeth saws were true handcrafted tools that were more akin to works of art. With every single part made in house, their small line of chainsaws had an unparalleled fit and finish while also packing the kind of punch a professional logger desired to get the job done day in and day out. They remained a small shop with an equally small assortment of models, but had a huge following for a good 30-years or so. Their history gets a little foggy in the 70s, but we do know that they had closed up shop by 1978 as their long time address was demolished in 1979. Regardless of when and why they ceased to do business, their saws remain the stuff of legend.
