Monoprint on Stonehenge paper. On top of which I have drawn pastels. I know the pastels come through the strongest but it is actually a monoprint which I thought needed more colour.

This is a Woodcut Print. I have originally inked up the wood before I started cutting it. I rolled around 20 plates with different colours. This sets up the background colours. The following week I took the same piece of wood and started carving out the picture of the flowers and the birds. Inked up the plate and placed it over the already dry colour pieces of paper. The end result is about 20 prints, all of which are unique and different. The prints are printed on University Paper with blue denim ink. Aluminum Etching Hand painted water color in Cad Red Stonehenge Paper (Off White) I have been experimenting in my studio with copper sulfur and salt, using aluminum. The first bite and print took well, but the second bite the print became a little uneven. This is a print of the first bite. The pink etching is of the second bite.

This painting was called "Soul Sister" and sold in an exhibition I had at a gallery many years ago. The entire show was a series of people and their guitars. This one in particular is a Redbubble member, she sent me a photograph of herself with her guitar. I changed her hair to brunette and darkened the guitar. The painting is sold and now hanging in an Irish pub in Melbourne Australia somehwere!

Matrix for Transformation Collagraph Project Masonite Matrix for Printmaking Collagraph Assignment for Contemporary Print Project University Degree Glue, Carborundum, Yacht Varnish, Ink, oil Paint The "Matrix" is the plate where a printmaking work is made and used for printmaking. It can be a woodcut, lino, collagraph, etching, aquatint, drypoint and many more. The matrix is commonly not shown at all and usually shelved somewhere. As a printmaking teacher I like to be able to show the process of making a print. The print will be what we commonly call "Works On Paper". I will hopefully post that print in the next few days. Two plates Zinc plate inked up in a mix of colours. Second plate rolled leaves from the garden, which bring their own colour to the print when mixed with the ink on the plate. The chance print came out beautiful. Mmmmmm, now what to do with it. I have an idea. Stay tuned...... This is a reduction lino cut done with two blocks. One lays down the black and the other the orange. The white part is cut out completely so that it remains white. In this edition I did 20 and this is the only one I approve of. People don't often see the work that goes into printmaking and some treat it like a craft...but I find it the most difficult of all art mediums, not only do you have to come up with the concept and composition but you have to get your head...

Print made from woodcut print. Tried painting the woodcut like Cressinda Campbell and than printing it by spraying water. This did not work. so than I hand painted the whole print with watercolor paints. Layering day after day. Then outlining with black ink. The result is stunning.
