The Union Pacific Railroad is a freight-hauling railroad that operates 8,300 locomotives over 32,200 miles (51,800 km) routes in 23 U.S. states west of Chicago and New Orleans. Union Pacific is the second largest railroad in the United States after BNSF. Union Pacific and BNSF have a duopoly on transcontinental freight rail lines in the Western United States.

A wheel that is not made from spokes but a number of box sections is called a 'Boxpok' wheel. You can see these wheels on some of Oliver Bullied's locomotives, including the Q1 locomotive preserved at the National Railway Museum in York.

I do like semaphore railway signals - so much so that I do actually have one that I bought from a vicar in Norfolk a few years ago! It just about squeezed into my tiny car for the long trip back home again...I am not sure my passenger was too pleased at the time though!

During the Second World War, the American military built hundreds of S160 locomotives that were shipped across the world to help with the war effort. This drawing shows an S160 in USA Transportation Corps grey livery, similar to one that can be seen on the Keighley and Worth Valley Railway in Yorkshire.
