Description: Dante Gabriel Rossetti, a prominent figure in the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, depicted Joan of Arc in several of his works, showcasing his fascination with medieval themes and strong female figures. One of his most notable paintings featuring Joan of Arc is "Joan of Arc Kissing the Sword of Deliverance," completed in 1863. This is the last painting upon which Rossetti worked, being finished within a few days of his death on 9 April 1882.
