The Sunbeam label was launched in 1942 and introduced America to their adorable mascot, Little Miss Sunbeam, who frequently said "let's be friends" in advertising and promotional materials. Little Miss Sunbeam was such a hit with consumers and became so well recognized that the Davidson Baking Company was often referred to as the Sunbeam Bakery, though no such entity ever existed.
