The “Yippee 423296” is a specific model of the P-38 Lightning that was operated by the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) from 1941 to 1947. This particular aircraft is notable for being the 5000th P-38 built. It was used in 1944 and was part of the 20th Combat Group, 8th Air Force.
