Descent to Freshwater Baseball T-Shirt

This is one of the views on my favourite walk on the isle of Wight. This section of the walk starts at the Needles, or rather the secret rocket test facility, and follows the sinuous ridge of Tennyson Down. Its grassland all the way with wildflowers, lumps of chalk scattered around by the burrowing rabbits, and blue butterflies fluttering about. View to the left is toward Yarmouth and the mainland, and to the right, a great expanse of blue sea, coloured that way by the chalk. After the summit of Tennyson down, its downhill all the way to Freshwater Bay, with this view of the ridge that stretches right across the island ahead. The bay itself remains out of sight beyond the two rooftops. Painted in oil on a 12x12 inch board.
