The originak Cine Capri Movie Theater was located at 2323 East Camelback Road in Phoenix, Arizona. It was one of the theaters in the Plitt Movie Theater chain, and was for many years the largest theater in the Valley of the Sun. From 1977 to 1978, the first Star Wars film ran there for over a year. The distinctive logo on this shirt was used for theaters on the movie ad pages in the Arizona Republic newspaper from the 1950s through the 1980s. A multi-chain theater using the same name was built in Scottsdale by the Harkins chain as a tribute to the first and is still running.
