Affiliate Top Ten: TV and Movie Recaps

Happy mid-summer, Affiliates! We wanted to spice up our blog posts for you. This week we're bringing some of our favorite TV and movie review and recaps that we think you should check out! Are you a fan of anyone below? 

1. AfterBuzz TV

   As one of the most eclectic recap networks around, AfterBuzzTV nearly has it all. We love AfterBuzz even more because the shows they don’t cover get fantastic honorable mentions on their site. If you’re looking for a great place for good banter on your current TV obsession definitely check out AfterBuzzTV. They also feature great guests!

2. Best of Friends Podcast

   Erin and Jamie of Best of Friends provide the cult classic recap we’ve been dying for. Their commentary is insightful, intellectual, and witty. Between catching jokes we’ve missed or elaborating on relationships, we love everything these two have to say. Even the non-Friends banter is hilarious! 3. Cinema Blend

   Cinema Blend is our go-to for all sorts of news and reviews. The site covers all things movie trailers, movies, games, and TV, and we’d be lying if we said that they haven’t become one of our go-tos for pop culture news.

4. The A.V. Club

   Besides having a wide arrange of TV shows reviewed in their catalog, A.V. Club thrives because of their personal passion. A.V. Club always provides thoughtful and detailed reviews episode by episode. It’s impossible not to feel like they’ve been watching from episode 1 and experiencing all the TV twists and turns alongside other fans. Our personal favorites are their The Walking Dead and Transparent reviews!

5. Four Finger Discount

   Travel through the many, many seasons of The Simpsons with Mitch and Dando of Four Finger Discount! Four Finger Discount mixes trivia, supplemental Simpson’s voice clips, and playful random banter strung seamlessly between in depth episode commentary. Whether you’re all caught up on The Simpsons or exploring the show for the first time, Four Finger Discount is a great supplement for you Simpson’s-viewing. 6. Trash Talk TV

   Trash Talk TV lets us feel less bad about our television guilty pleasures. If you’re looking for people to dish on your favorite Real Housewives, Bachelor/ette, or even more recent hits like ABC’s Boy Band then Trash Talk TV is the site for you!

7. The Arkham Sessions

   We already know Batman: The Animated Series is a wild ride through the mental workings of some of TV’s best deranged and damaged characters; and The Arkham Sessions takes it one (amazing) step further. Psychologist Dr. Andrea Letamendi and Brian Ward take you through Batman with a perfect psychoanalytical take that leaves us wanting more each episode.

8. The Vulture - Bachlor/ette Recap

   Can you tell we’re really into trash TV? The Vulture’s Ali Barthwell goes episode by episode with some of the wittiest recapping we could ask for. We’re personal fans of her unique (and utterly hilarious) third person story-telling, and her brutal honesty.

9. Saturday Morning Rewind

   We love 80s/90s cartoons and we love in depth discussions about cartoons so Saturday Morning Rewind really is the podcast for us! Not only are the hosts insightful but the guests they feature are absolutely astounding. (And you can check out their TeePublic store here!)

10. We Hate Movies

    We couldn’t not include We Hate Movies in our recap list! The hilarious guys of WHM have featured all over the internet and with good reason. They’re insightful, entertaining, and inviting.
