Description: Big Youth was a defining voice of 1970s roots reggae in Jamaica. His chanting style, spiritual Rasta identity, and politically charged lyrics turned him into a cultural symbol of resistance. With his signature dreadlocks and prophetic presence, he gave a voice to the ghetto youth while confronting Babylon with militant poetry.
