Cambrian Fossils Cards

Description: Explore Cambrian fossils through a paleontology chart filled with prehistoric marine life from the ancient Cambrian seas. This design celebrates early ocean creatures, fossil science, geology and the evolutionary history of marine ecosystems. A fitting choice for paleontologists, fossil collectors, geology students, museum visitors and natural history enthusiasts who enjoy the story of life preserved in stone.

Description: Ancient is awesome. Make sure everyone else knows it too.

Description: This is a depiction of the fossil hallucigenia, a Cambrian era ancestor of today’s velvet worms. Hallucigenia fossils were originally discovered in the Burgess Shale, a famous Cambrian-age fossil deposit in the Canadian Rockies. Paleontologists have been very confused about how to classify this lovely little worm as it was unclear whether it’s protective spikes were legs or it’s wobbly legs were tentacles!

Description: Do you like trilobites? Do you like galaxies? Do you like cute galaxy trilobites? This design is for you!

Description: A weird science-meets-band-poster design featuring ancient Cambrian creatures rocking out like the strangest prehistoric metal band nature ever invented. Perfect for fossil fans, biology nerds, evolution lovers, paleontology people, and anyone who enjoys the idea that nature was absolutely experimenting 541 million years ago.

Description: Trilobite, extinct arthropod that lived before the Dinosaurs.

Description: This pattern depicts the fossils of the famous Burgess Shale. Many of the remarkable lifeforms of the Cambrian explosion are depicted, including: opabinia, wiwaxia, pikaia, and hallucigenia.

Description: This is a pattern depicting Anomalocaris along with the three fossils that are associated with it. The fossils, which were originally thought to belong to separate animals, were ultimately found to be parts of a single animal. Anomalocaris was among the first of the great apex predators to swim the Earth's oceans. Though it was not overly large by present standards, back in the Cambrian Period it was a giant! Fossils of this famous animal have been found in rock formations throughout the world, most notably the Burgess Shale.
